Overview

Ventura Nomadica LLC ("Ventura Nomadica," "we," "us") is based in the United States. Although we are not required by law to apply GDPR to everyone, we choose to apply GDPR-style privacy principles — data minimization, transparency, and user rights — to all users of Brushy and this website, regardless of location.

Brushing Data Stays on Your Device

Brushy stores all brushing session data entirely on your device. That data is synced only through your own iCloud account (iOS) or your own Google account (Android) — accounts you control, not accounts we operate. No Brushy account or Ventura Nomadica account is required to use the app.

Ventura Nomadica never receives, transmits, or has access to your timer sessions, your floss/scrape/mouthwash/bleeding toggles, or your toothbrush replacement dates. This data simply never reaches us.

If You Contact Us

If you email Ventura Nomadica, we receive the email address you sent it from, your name if you provide one, and the contents of your message. We use this information only to respond to you.

Website Analytics

This website uses self-hosted Umami analytics. Umami is configured with no cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no personal profiles. It reports only aggregate information: page views, referrers, device type, and general region. We cannot and do not identify individual visitors from this data.

What We Don't Do

• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not use ad trackers or retargeting pixels.
• We do not build marketing profiles.
• We do not collect, store, or transmit your brushing session data.

Kids Mode

Brushy collects no data from any user, of any age. Kids Mode does not change that. Because no data is collected, stored, or transmitted from anyone — child or adult — there is no additional children's data to disclose.

Why We Process Data

To the limited extent described above, we process data for these purposes:

• Responding to messages you send us.
• Operating, securing, and improving this website.
• Preventing abuse and maintaining reliability.

• Consent — when you contact Ventura Nomadica directly.
• Legitimate interests — operating a small website securely while minimizing data collection.

Data Retention

Emails and inquiries are retained only as long as needed to respond to and resolve your request, and are then deleted or archived securely. Website analytics data is aggregate-only and is retained by our self-hosted Umami instance for reporting purposes; it does not identify individuals.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. Where GDPR applies, we will respond to your request within 30 days.
